This week we’re checking out a Promethean 6 Singlecut by Carillion Guitars. Built for Martino Garattoni of Ne Obliviscaris, the bass is a six-string featuring their Promethean body and Reaver headstock.
“We called it The Blue Bastard whilst building it – I think it’s quite fitting,” the company writes. “Thing sounds ace too.”
The bass features neck-through construction with a 34-inch scale length. Its 11-piece neck is constructed from wenge and flamed maple while the body wings are swamp ash. The top is a single piece of Mappa burl. Carillion utilized Richlite for the fingerboard and its binding.
Other features include EMG pickups and electronics, Gotoh Tuners, and an ABM bridge. It also has two thumb ramps next to the pickups made from 5,300-year-old bog oak.
