The Story
This week we’re checking out an absolutely stunning fretless seven-string bass by luthier Emiliano Bernal. The elegant instrument’s body was crafted with a spruce top with Amazonian rosewood for the back and sides. Bernal chose a piece of roasted Birdseye maple for the neck, which also utilizes Amazonian Rosewood for its chocolatey fingerboard.
It’s fitted with a pair of custom Bartolini pickups with passive electronics. Each pickup has its own volume knob with a master tone control. Other features include a Hipshot bridge and
Hipshot tuners.
