Bass of the Week: Meridian Guitars J-24

Originally featured July 12, 2021

This week we’re checking out a Meridian Guitars J-24 with an ash body and natural finish to let the wood grain speak for itself. The five-stringer’s neck is made from maple that was cut in 1986, which is then topped with a phenolic resin fretboard. As the name implies, it has 24 frets.

Meridian fits this J-24 with a pair of Delano Times Square pickups matched to a Delano Sonar 3 preamp. Its controls include dual volume controls, a three-band EQ, a passive tone control, coil selection switches, and an active/passive switch. Finally, the bass has Hipshot hardware.

There are hundreds more where this came from.
