Bass of the Week: Prestige Guitars Custom Shop Phantom Bass

Originally featured August 2, 2021

Prestige Guitars gave some extra mojo to this Custom Shop Phantom Bass. The model already takes its cues from a ’50s bass, but this particular bass’s seafoam green finish and awesome pickguard push things into the ’60s.

Built with a solid ash body, the Phantom gets its sound from a Seymour Duncan SCPB-3 Quarter Pound, which is described as offering high output with an added growl and aggressive attack. Other features include mother of pearl dot inlays, a one-piece hard maple neck, and Hipshot hardware.

There are hundreds more where this came from.
