Bass of the Week: Beardly Customs “The Beast”

Beardly Customs Originally featured April 12, 2021

You can never be too safe these days. So for your consideration is a bass by Beardly Customs called “The Beast,” which they say doubles as a bass and a deadly weapon for slaying zombies.

The mammoth six-string has a multi-scale neck ranging from a 35-inch B-string to a 32-inch C string. Its body is made from walnut and flamed maple with a zebrawood top while the neck is comprised of stripes of walnut and purpleheart. The fingerboard is a gorgeous piece of pale moon ebony.

The Beast gets its firepower from a pair of Nordstrand Big Split pickups and a Darkglass Electronics preamp. Luthier Rick Link pulls it all together with Hipshot hardware.

There are hundreds more where this came from.
