The small boutique is packed with bizarre and beautiful guitars with a serious roster of basses, too, including a few by luthier Rob Mondell. That led me to check out his website and find this: the Mondell Single Cut Short Scale Bass. <\/p>\n<p>Featuring a 30.25-inch scale, the bass is crafted with a mahogany chambered body and flame maple top that\u2019s accented by handmade checkerboard binding and abalone purfling. Its rosewood fingerboard is bound in white and Mondell matched the combo in the headstock plate.
