The Italian-made instrument is crafted with an alder body that\u2019s been affected by wood-boring insects. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWoodworms are the secret to the Amrita\u2019s airy sound \u2013 these insect larvae bore into the beautiful alder body, transforming the holes into tiny tonal chambers,\u201d Bacci writes. \u201cThe Nitrocellulose finish on both the body and neck is like a second skin, allowing the wood to vibrate to its fullest potential.
