Epding, who first started experimenting with headless designs in 1982, says his basses offer fresh ideas without sacrificing standard features. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll driven by the idea of redefining the guitar from an ergonomic and aesthetic point of view,\u201d Epding writes on his website. \u201cI don\u2019t want to negate the knowledge of traditional guitar construction but to enrich it with new aspects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Crayfish has a 34-inch scale and has a body and neck built from European Spruce, mahogany, and Sipo. Its Blackwood fretboard has 24 frets. Other features include two EMG soapbars, a Schaller 3D bridge, and D\u00fcsenberg tuners.
