Peter Hook has recently put up a load of his gear and memorabilia from his New Order days up for auction. This week we\u2019re checking out a custom bass built for him by Chris Eccleshall. The semi-acoustic four-stringer, which he dubbed \u201cHot Too,\u201d is crafted with a 335-style body and served as the backup to his main Eccleshall. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe spare \u2018main\u2019 guitar. I was hitting the buggers so hard I was always breaking strings so needed a spare,\u201d Hook writes. \u201cAnother Chris Eccleshall beauty. Sadly Chris died recently, rest in peace mate, you will always be with me. I have one of his best efforts (Viking One) to be buried with. So\u2026 straight through neck, Yamaha BB1200S electrics and the Bigsby Bridge and Whammy Bar! Bet you\u2019ve never seen a bass with one of those on before!\u201d<\/p>\n
