This Alchemist 4\/32 by Owl Bass Guitars first caught my eye with its killer claro walnut top. Luthier Chris Seldon selects and handcrafts all the wood for his instruments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI build my basses from raw lumber, 100% percent by hand the old fashioned way,\u201d he writes on his new <a href=\"http:\/\/owlbass.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>. \u201cNo CNC, no CAD. It\u2019s just me and some rulers, spinning blades and coffee.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also fitted with a pair of mean-looking Bassculture W-Buckers matched to an East UK ACGEQ-01 preamp.
