Developed by a musician and a physicist, the company uses a tuneable composite material instead of wood. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.notreble.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/BassLab-STD-Blue-Fretless-lead-620x321.jpg?resize=620%2C321\" alt=\"BassLab STD Blue Fretless Bass\" width=\"620\" height=\"321\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-27916 img-fluid\"><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe use carbon for stiffness, but add other [elements] to the mix for tone,\u201d they shared. \u201cIt\u2019s called \u2018tuneable\u2019, because we can also alter the tone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>BassLab\u2019s flagship instrument is the STD, a lightweight bass available in headed and headless models as well as 4-, 5-, and 6-string versions. Its body and neck are a single, hollow piece. The body features lots of ergonomic shaping for comfortable playing while the design helps keep it at nearly a 45\u00b0 angle for a natural playing position.<\/p>\n<p>The BassLab STD comes standard with a pair of Delano humbuckers and a BassXX preamp.
