Its body has elements of a violin-shape and a single-cut with a the lower horn cutaway for better access to up to the 22nd fret. <\/p>\n<p>Available in 4, 5, and 6-string versions, the Expression\u2019s neck is a choice of 3-piece maple and walnut or maple and mahogany laminates. Its fingerboard is rosewood except for the fretless version, which is ebony.<\/p>\n<p>Electronics on the bass include a custom Headway piezo pickup built into the Overwater made rosewood bridge and an Overwater\/John East design preamp.
